Culvert

A personal email client for Gmail and Outlook. Fast triage, smart sorting, nothing leaves your device.

Culvert is a unified inbox for people who get too much email. It merges your Gmail and Outlook accounts into one view, sorts what's worth your attention from what isn't, and gets you through your inbox with a swipe instead of a tap-tap-tap.

There's no Culvert server and no account to sign up for. Culvert talks directly to Gmail and Microsoft Graph using your own sign-in, and everything it figures out along the way — how your mail gets sorted, who your VIP senders are, what you've searched for — stays in a database on your phone.

One inbox, two providers

Gmail and Outlook merged into a single unified view, or filtered to one account at a time.

Sorts itself out

Newsletters, receipts, and notifications get categorized automatically by reading each message's own headers — no cloud AI, no message content ever leaves your phone to do it.

Built for triage

Swipe to archive or delete, snooze for later, mark VIP senders that always sort first, and set categories to auto-archive themselves after a week.

Real unsubscribe, not a filter

One-tap unsubscribe using the same RFC 8058 mechanism Gmail's own "Unsubscribe" button uses — an actual request to the sender, not just a local mute.

Search that stays home

Local, on-device search across every synced message, including ones you've already archived.

Locked behind your own lock screen

Optional app lock using your phone's existing fingerprint, face, or PIN — Culvert never sees or stores that data itself.

Accounts

Connect a Google account, a Microsoft/Outlook account, or both. Sign-in goes through Google's and Microsoft's own official sign-in screens — Culvert never sees your password.
